The 3Rs Talent Award
Starting in 2025, the Danish 3R Center will introduce a new award that, in contrast to the traditional 3R Award, is specifically intended for individuals in the earlier stages of their careers (defined as fewer than 10 years post-master’s degree).
About the 3Rs Talent Award:
- The award will be presented annually and is given in recognition of a publication or other contribution that has – or shows clear potential to have – a significant positive impact on laboratory animals through either Replacement, Reduction, or Refinement.
- The submitted article must have been published within the past three years in a peer-reviewed journal.
- The award may be granted to an individual or a group based in Denmark, affiliated with a company, university, or other organisation.
- The award will be presented at The Danish 3R Center Annual Symposium.
The award includes a certificate, recognition, and a monetary prize of DKK 10,000.
Selection Criteria:
- The actual or potential impact on the 3Rs
- The significance of the research question or topic
- Transparency and robustness of the (study) design
